Associate Director, New Business Development - ItalyThis senior development role should be one of broad customer exposure, executive level penetration targets, and strategic relationship building within the key account. This model requires highly experienced and empowered business developers. The role will be based in Italy although other locations, including part-time home office, may be considered.Core Responsibilities:•Investigate and develop strategic business relationships for specific product development, overall program management, specific service areas and full partnering arrangements•Manage and promote development of global clinical trial business with assigned key accounts•Act as a Senior Executive for the key clients and participate in New Business Development planning, consistency and quality of delivery of business services•Participate in internal strategic planning for delivery of pipeline repeat business from key clients and identifying of new areas of opportunitySkills & Attributes:The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a proven track record of successful sales. Experience from within a CRO preferred, however, experience within a 3rd party provider, ECG,EDC or IVRS also considered. Candidates must be able to understand, organize and supervise proposal teams and to work concurrently on several projects. Excellent time management and decision making skills are essential. The opportunity offers scope for progression. This is a fully hands-on role initially, focused on a key account list with significant potential to achieve substantial sales numbers. There will be an opportunity in the longer-term to mentor and develop more junior New Business Development (NBD) staff, ultimately resulting in some line management responsibilitiesKeywords: Business development, Surrey, CRO, Clinical, strategic, Target
