UNDERWRITER

Main duties and responsabilities:

• Provides underwriting assistance to Account Managers. This includes value collection & validation,

strategy and team assessment input, captive analysis, line setting, RATS input and MFL reviews.

• Gains and maintains excellent knowledge of underwriting guidelines, policy intent, profitability

assessment and pricing tools to assist the Account Manager in program analysis, design and maintenance.

• Helps the Account Managers service their accounts. This encompasses gathering prospect

information, compiling candidate requirements, preparing for meetings and presentations to begin developing account management and effective presentation skills.

• Assesses loss history. Reviews existing or proposed policy forms, coverage, terms and conditions;

prepares wordings and drafts comprehensive renewal proposals, client service plan or help in preparing stewardship meetings.

• Identifies and flags deviations from underwriting standards, prepare potential UW exception request.

* Researches cross-liability, reviews account engineering risk assessments, handles impairments and recommends solutions.

Competencies/Education/Experience:

* University degree or equivalent (economics, mathematics or statistic); Insurance and risk management certification is desiderable.

* Strong PC skills

* Fluency in Italian and English (verbal and written)

* Previous work experience in the insurance industry

* Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to details

* Excellent interpersonal and communication ability
